ASUS VivoMini PC UN62 Review

Asus recently launched its two of great mini PC’s  for two different price tags. The idea of still making personal computing devices seems a little bit worn-out. But wait the devices are innovative in themselves and seems to create way to use our personal devices. Let’s see what they have done. First of all, the size & design of the devices. The devices are Ultra Compact & Portable. The key feature of the devices is its design & size making it very small with dimensions of 131 x 131 x 42 mm. This time the company’s main concern was to make the device very compact yet powerful. The devices takes a little room at your work desk, whether at home or office.

The devices just weighs around 1Kg, which is little less than a standard laptop. The devices are almost soundless with producing a low sound of around 26.3dB. The company specially claimed that it 38% less noisy than the industrial standard which is mentioned at its overview on the ASUS website.

Don’t just judge the device’s capabilities on the basis of its size. The devices feature integrated Chipset. These are a beast of a devices featuring 4th Gen Intel i3 $ i5 core processors with 4GB DDR3 RAM up to 16GB at 1600Mhz. The device has 32GBs of internal storage & up to 256Gb mSATA SSD storage. The devices also have Intel HD Graphics 4400 for Graphic & Display purposes.Both the devices comes with 64 bit built Operating Systems. You can choose between Windows 8.1 & Windows 7 Professional.

The device does not lags in any terms of connectivity. ASUS UN62 & UN42 both support Wireless Data Networks 802.11a/b/g/n/ac. Both of the devices also come with Bluetooth 4.0, the devices are supported with most of ports for physical connectivity. The device also has 4 -in-1: SD/ SDHC/ SDXC/ MMC * card Slot. Although the company has removed The DVD/CD  Drive from both of the devices. Maybe to make it make more compact. Take a look at the ports.

Both of the devices feature 4K & UHD supports for connecting high resolution Displays which is very helpful to setup a Room Theatre or to show Great Presentations. This is not it, the devices also come with Multi Display & Touch Screen support to connect up to three displays via HDMI & Display Port ++ allowing you to connect the displays without attaching any additional Graphic or Video Card making the devices future proof & the lead towards innovation at the computing devices.

The devices are priced at $279 for UN62 and UN42 $442 for bare bone models which are not officially available for selling yet. The price for the devices are little bit heavy for the normal pockets. But the devices are a beauty to see & use. These are available at
