Our New look, the 3 Day Downtime, Crashed Servers & much more !

For 3 days, our servers were down, straight off showing a “server not found”. But even before that, this blog was showing an “under construction” page. There were tons of things going. We’re finally back online, but as you can see, our blog appearance has changed.

So, here is a short breakdown of what happened.

If you’ve been reading this blog for a good time, you’d remember I wrote a blog post talking about how much this blog means to me. I was planning a ton of things to implement on this blog. One of those things included adding an SSL certificate on this blog.

Which was not possible because of the current configuration of our previous web host. Before I finally decided to move on and migrate my website, the blog started facing a ton of database errors.

To prevent those errors from being shown on the homepage, I pulled up an under construction page.

Behind that page, I was working on migrating from my web-host to a new one. It took me 3 days to migrate the website. Several factors accounted for this delay. I had no idea of the command line, nor I had an idea of how to migrate ftp without actually downloading the whole file.

After 3 days, I finally managed to get the blog migrate from one host to another. I am still working on getting my mailbox to be working again. I am also working on configuring my CDN’s and some more technical stuff.

I’ve also decided to change this blog from a blogging niche blog into a blog more focused on WordPress. I’ll share everything in detail in a detailed update.
